Intro:
We are here on Praia do Carvalhal beach in Portugal for some beach boxing action. YouTube/Tiktok star Victoria Pfeiffer looks to make her debut one to remember as she takes on actress Lily-Rose Depp. Who has gotten wins under her name but has struggled to ever really get any run of form. Who can leave the beach with a nice tan and a victory to go with it?
Both women had sold the fight over social media, Victoria posting to her accounts a video where she is working a punch bag as she wears a black sports bra, tight black booty shorts and black gloves as she is bare foot. She tells her fans "I am going to have a boxing match on July 7th against Lily-Rose Depp. I have been training for several months for this, so fingers crossed I can win. Please give me your support and for Lily-Rose *Victoria throws a jab/straight combo* I'll be coming to knock you out." Victoria blows a kiss to the camera with a wink to finish her video.
Lily-Rose meanwhile replies "Victoria I've watched your videos and you are fun but this is fighting. If you think it'll be some light sparring then you will find out what reality is." Making sure to show she is taking this deadly serious after the punishing defeats she has taken, she doesn't want another on her CV.
Fighting time! There are deck chairs for those with ringside seats. Metal fencing keeps others away at a distance. The ring is marked out this time by a black rope pressed into the sand, so no ring posts or ropes to save either woman from going down, just a boundary for them to hopefully stay within with a red and blue tape on to mark the fighters corners.
Victoria is first to walk to the ring with her coach, she waves to the fans as she looks excited to fight. Stepping into the ring and standing at the red corner, Victoria is wearing a black bikini with red gloves, hair tied into a ponytail as she nods to her coach that she is ready.
Lily-Rose now begins her walk to the ring with purpose. Climbing into the blue corner wearing a navy blue bikini with matching gloves, her hair is braided as she chats to her coach. Fist bumping them before she turns to face her opponent.
Both young women walk to the center of the ring. Lily-Rose puts her hands on her hips to stare down Victoria. Who smiles as she looks back at the slightly smaller fighter. They do touch gloves before returning to their corners. Once ready the bell is rung to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:
"Ding!" Both women come out with high guards. Trading single punches as they get a feel for each other and the beach itself as they bounce on their toes. Lily-Rose starts to take the lead as Victoria looks tense. A few body shots test out the torso of Victoria. Who responds with straight punches into the face of Lily-Rose to keep her at range.
It's Lily-Rose leading this dance so far as she stabs in a few punches before getting on the move. Victoria is mostly reacting then being the one leading the charge. A few times Pfeiffer does show some good combination punching to push back her opponent but the greater work is coming from Depp.
The American finishing the round strong as she lands more hooks to the body of Victoria. The social media star needing to come out her shell more just before the bell rings to end the opening round. Victoria has her shoulders massaged as she is told to loosen up and do as they trained.
Round 2:
Back out they come with Victoria starting to get a rhythm going behind her jab. Both throwing more punches as they dance in the sand with their movement. Lily-Rose lands a few punches around the stomach of Victoria. She gets a right hook back near her temple to back her off.
A double jab smacks Lily-Rose on her forehead. She is open to several more clean punches to her face as she is being backed up. Victoria looks to be growing in confidence till Lily-Rose grabs hold of her in a clinch. Referee steps in to break them up so they can fight on.
Lily-Rose can't seem to get going this round as Victoria looks to be landing the flusher punches. The head of the actress keeps getting knocked around when her guard opens up too much. The bell rings to end proceedings with Lily-Rose looking frustrated as she sits on her stool. Victoria meanwhile getting praised by her coach but not going overboard.
Round 3:
Resuming with more straight punches being exchanged. Lily-Rose is trying to go to the body of her opponent, dipping down to dodge and land. Victoria needing to step back and land a few sweeping hooks around the face of Depp to hold her off as both are certainly getting more intense in their fighting.
Lily-Rose seems to be getting through more with her extra movement. Slipping a few punches to step inside to work before she moves back out. Victoria is still landing a mean straight when she can set it up behind her jab to push back her foe.
Late in the round Victoria catches Lily-Rose coming in with a jab on her forehead before landing an uppercut that lifts Depp up onto her toes. Lily-Rose is getting beaten back now as Victoria opens up on her. The bell a relief for Lily-Rose but also an annoyance as she did great this round till that late flurry from Pfeiffer.
Round 4:
Exchanging around the center of the ring. Lily-Rose tries to dip down to move inside but gets caught with an uppercut that rocks her backwards! A LEFT HOOK IS FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER UPPERCUT AND DOWN GOES LILY-ROSE!
Victoria looks startled somewhat that she put down Lily-Rose. The referee needing to nudge away Victoria to a neutral corner for the count to begin. 1....2....3... Lily-Rose groans as she turns to her right side. 4....5....6... Lily-Rose trying to push to her feet, wobbly legged 7....8... Falling back down to all fours. 9....10 she is counted out!
Winner Victoria Pfeiffer KO Round 4
After:
A tentative start for Victoria but she was able to get momentum going to get the victory. She raises her arms in the air and lets out a big "woop!" To the joy of her supporters at ringside. Looking unbelievably happy to have done this.
Over to Lily-Rose comes Victoria to help her beaten foe up and over to her stool. Lily-Rose nods her thanks but looks miserable that she is covered in sand and has lost again. Her coach wiping her down as they tell her that she'll win next time.
The winner meanwhile gets her left hand raised by the referee, she blows kisses to the crowd and to the camera with a cheeky wink. Showing the playful side she has after showing she has a mean side in a fight too.
Out the ring steps Lily-Rose wondering what she can do to get real momentum in her career and not just win a bout before going on a run of bad results. She tosses her gloves down on the beach for her coach to pick up to show her frustration at what has happened.
Meanwhile Victoria takes a few selfies at ringside with her fans. She knows how to work a crowd, question of course is how far can she go in the ring. She didn't look too sure of herself in spells in the fight but she did also show good hand speed and skills. Maybe a C grade would be fair for her debut. |
